What is Credential Verification?
Credential verification is the process of confirming that professional details—such as work experience, job titles, dates of employment, skills, and recommendations—are accurate and authentic. Unlike traditional job applications where candidates self-report their qualifications, verified credentials have been confirmed by real supervisors, colleagues, or collaborators who worked with the candidate directly.
At Curridex, candidates send verification requests to people who can confirm their work history. Each verifier receives a secure link to confirm the candidate's role, responsibilities, and dates of employment. No account is required to verify.
Before any verification receives a "verified" badge, it goes through two layers of review: automated fraud detection, and manual review by our team. Only low-risk verifications that pass both checks receive a verified badge.

- How does credential verification work?
- You can request verifications or recommendations from your current or past supervisors or colleagues. Each submission undergoes extensive automated and manual review to verify the authenticity of the verifier and the details they provide.
- How long does the verification process take?
- Most verifications are completed within 1–3 business days, though timing can vary depending on how quickly your verifier responds.
- Is Curridex a background check?
- No. Curridex is not a background check service. We verify professional credentials through direct confirmation from supervisors and colleagues—not through public records, criminal databases, or credit reports.
- Do I need to pay to use Curridex?
- Creating a profile and starting to collect credentials is free. Each verification or recommendation costs a one-time $10 fee, charged only after it is successfully reviewed and verified. If you request both a recommendation and a work verification from the same person at the same time, the combined cost is just $10.
- How does my public profile work?
- Your Curridex profile is a unique webpage at curridex.com/username that stores and displays your verified credentials and recommendations. You control what is visible to employers through the My Credentials page.
- How do I use my verified credentials in applications?
- You can include your Curridex username on your resume or CV so employers can access your public profile directly. You can also share your public profile link with potential employers, or download a Credentials PDF to attach directly to applications.
- How do employers view verified credentials?
- Verified credentials are stored on the user's Curridex public profile. Employers can access them by entering the user's Curridex username in the search bar, or by clicking the link the candidate includes in their resume, CV, or application.
